Pennies for Patients

Connery  participated in the Pennies for Patients fundraising event.  The money raised will go to help children who have leukemia and lymphoma.  Both of these diseases are a type of cancer that can life threatening.

The students here at Connery raised almost $1,100 for this terrific cause. You all went above and beyond what was expected from you.   Thank you very much.

Congratulations to Mrs. Meneades' second grade class for raising the most money, $151.95.  For their effort they won a pizza party. Nice job!!!

 

A Fundraiser That You Can Eat Up

Make a Difference for Our School with Box Tops

We've recently launched our 2006-2007 Box Tops for Education fundraising campaign.  This year we've set a goal of earning a minimum of $500 through Box Tops to purchase much need items for your child's school

For over 10 year, Box Tops has helped America's schools raise over $175 million to buy the things they need.  The Box Tops for Education program offers three easy ways to make a difference through everyday activities: buying groceries, shopping online or making purchases with a credit card.  School budgets are tighter than ever, and William P. Connery School is asking for the support of families and community members like you.

Another easy way to help our school is to sign up at the Box Tops website at boxtops4education.com.  You'll get updates on our school's Box Tops earnings, money-saving coupons, family-pleasing recipes, and chances to win Bonus Box Tops, the latest Box Tops news, and much, much more.  Best of all, it's absolutely free!

Don't throw away those ink cartridges or cell phones!!!!!!
We are in the process of collecting old cell phones, Ipods, laptops and ink cartridges to trade them in for cash for the school.  This program, Cartridges For Kids, will take all the donated items, recycle them and send us a check. It is that simple.  For a complete list of what is accepted click here.

So, before you throw away that used ink cartridge or trade in that old cell phone give them to the Connery School and help to earn money for your child's school.  Please tell your family relatives, neighbors, or local businesses about this program.  If a business is willing to donate their used items have them contact the school about pick up.
